Favourite Yarns

If I were to be magically whisked away by an evil wizard and forced to live the rest of my life in a stone tower, these are the yarns I would take with me…

Saffron Dyeworks Enya; hands-down my all-time favourite 100% merino fingering weight yarn. It has the perfect twist for socks, shawls and fingerless gloves. Alas, Dee doesn’t update her online shop very often and when she does you need to quick with your fingers to make sure you get what you want before, poof, it’s all gone.

Saffron Dyeworks Tush; another winner from SDW, this one with a touch of cashmere for extra warmth and softness. Not as easy to come across as Enya, but worth the wait.

Madelinetosh; my favourite ‘Madtosh’ weight to knit with is the DK, but I’ve also sampled the Vintage, Sport and Sock weights. Let’s be honest, it’s the incredible colour ways that keep me coming back to this yarn over and over and over again… I buy mine at my LYS, Black Sheep Yarns in Port Moody, B.C.
